The leather is much thicker and more durable than the cheap paper ones I've been using, so it should last years. The braided tassel is a nice touch and actually helps keep my page secure when I shove the book in my bag.

The braided tassel is a nice touch, though it feels a bit stiff out of the box. The leather itself is thick and should hold up well, it just doesn't have that soft, broken-in feel I was hoping for.
